Review from OnlineBookClub.org

What does life on a military base look like? How were people treated during the war? In the book Tour of Duty by William H. Coles, we can gain some knowledge about these questions.
I would rate this book five out of five stars. I like that the author describes a town after the war and how people were treated during the Holocaust. We can see how brutal war is. Also, in the book, people celebrated the saint by running with bulls. One of Miles’ friends was almost killed by the bulls. I feel that some ceremonies might be inappropriate and need to be adjusted. We can also sense the dilemma faced by Ingrid; she was married, but she loves Miles. Should she keep faith with her husband, or should she face her real feelings? We probably need to think carefully and seriously about marriage and love. This book also shares many things about France with readers, including food, architecture, music, and painting. I don’t see anything negative about this book. And this book is edited carefully; I don’t find any typos. And I would recommend this book to people who want to learn a little bit about French culture and the Holocaust that happened during the war. Read the entire review here…
